The replay of the BIG annual planning workshop is now here for those of you who were unable to attend live or those who would like to go through things again.

If you're a newcomer, or need a recap, please know that you can drop into creative planning at any point of the process. It takes a while to absorb all the implications of the method, but once understood and implemented, everything--writing, book production, marketing and promotion becomes easier.

You may also also need supplementary paper for f-r-e-e-writing. The theme of this workshop for authors and poets is "Creating Money, Creating Meaning" and we'll be working with the money section of that workbook (above).

Set aside two hours where you won't be disturbed and access the replay video here.

Once you have completed the workshop above, you are ready to divide the year into quarters, months, weeks, and days, bringing your plan right back to today.

Or if you like, you can reverse the process, and begin with a monthly planner on today's day.

As I said, there are no rules and any creative planning work will take you forward with better results than none.

I recommend you set aside time for a planning session in your diary each quarter (90 minutes), each month (45 mins), each week (15 mins) and each day (5 mins).

Those planning hours will repay you, in time and money, exponentially, by giving you focus and direction, by cutting out wasteful activities that leave you feeling unsatisfied and by reminding you of the importance of flow practice.

Upcoming Workshops

Our upcoming workshops in February and March will continue the theme of "Creating Money, Creating Meaning" as we delve deeper into the creative planning tools and techniques. In February we're going to go into detail about the "Pay Yourself First" technique and in March we'll be looking at a method for dissolving money blocks.

Dates for Your Diary

The workshops are on the last Thursday of the month but in February I'm at a publishing mastermind in New Orleans, so the "Dissolving Money Blocks" will run on the Thursday following, March 7th.

I'd love to plan more with you in 2024.
